Consumer Communications
Within Accounting as a Service, communication with consumers is managed through the BREVO as a communication framework.
This framework enables automated, event-driven messages to consumers — such as booking confirmations, invoices, due date reminders, or** dunning communications**.
By proactively keeping consumers informed about relevant financial events, companies reduce the volume of inbound service requests, strengthen trust, and deliver a transparent, modern customer experience.

Key Benefits
Proactive consumer engagement
Prevent customer service inquiries by communicating payment and account events automatically when the event takes place.
Consistent brand experience
All emails are fully white label — allowing customization of design, sender address, tone of voice, and branding elements.
Scalable and automated
Triggered directly from Accounting as a Service events, messages are sent automatically without manual intervention.
Mobile-ready templates
Responsive templates ensure optimal display on all devices.
Data integrity and reliability
Only up-to-date, validated events trigger emails. Suppression logic ensures that outdated or irrelevant communications are not sent.
How It Works
The communication framework integrates directly with Accounting as a Service to send transactional emails triggered by accounting events.
Each communication type (for example, booking confirmation or due date reminder) has its own trigger conditions, parameters, and customizable templates.
All messages are sent via BREVO and archived by Accounting as a Service so that these can be reviewed in the MyAccounting by customer service teams.
All communications can be provided via documents created notification to you as well.
Customization and Flexibility
Clients can define:
- The design and layout of each email template (matching the CI guidelines).
- The sender address and display name.
- Which parameters (provided by Accounting as a Service) are used in the message text.
- Language- and country-specific versions.
Templates can include additional content sections, such as customer service information or promotional elements, depending on business needs.
Compliance and Archiving
All consumer communications are archived in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Riverty ensures secure data processing and storage.
Clients onboarding to the BREVO framework will sign an additional agreement covering data processing and communication delivery via BREVO.

Client responsibilities
Domain setup
When we set you up, you will have to confirm the domain setup. For this, you will have to follow the instructions sent out by the rendering engine. Only when this is confirmed, we can sent out emails using your domain. In addition to this, the setup ensures that the emails do not end up in a spam-folder.
Provide style guide
To ensure the email is in the look and feel of your company, you can provide a style-guide that we can follow when setting up the email templates for you.
CSS for font types
The external tool used to render the communication supports webfonts. For this, you have to store a CSS file publicly with only the font definitions, so that this can be imported in the rendering engine.
